Health & Safety Manager – Construction, Westerham - £50,000 - £70,000 DOE

Ready to take charge of safety across major construction sites?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join a well-established construction business delivering a range projects across London and the South East.

This is a fantastic role for a proactive, knowledgeable Health & Safety professional with strong experience in live construction environments. The successful candidate will play a vital part in driving health, safety, and wellbeing standards across multiple projects, supporting site teams and management to ensure legal compliance and best practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee health & safety operations across all active sites.
  • Advise project managers and site teams on health, safety, and wellbeing issues.
  • Produce and review DWG RAMs and Construction Phase Plans.
  • Conduct site visits, audits, inspections, and lead incident investigations.
  • Ensure full compliance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and other relevant legislation.
  • Support continuous improvement of safety processes and culture.
  • Maintain and update internal safety systems, procedures, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders on health & safety matters.
  • Assist with apprenticeships and contribute to training/mentoring staff.

 

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a Health & Safety role within the construction sector.
  • Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations and live site environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Highly organised with attention to detail and a proactive mindset.

 

Essential Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH Certificate
  • CSCS Card
  • SMSTS (preferred)
  • Full UK Driving Licence
