My client is a well-established and respected insurance firm based in Bromley , known for their personal approach and strong reputation in the market. With continued growth in their property and household claims division, they are now seeking a Household Claims Handler to join their collaborative, professional team.
The Role:
As a Household Claims Handler, you’ll manage a portfolio of property claims from first notification to settlement. This includes validating claims, liaising with insurers, loss adjusters, and policyholders, and ensuring claims are handled efficiently and empathetically. You’ll play a key role in maintaining client trust and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handling a caseload of household/property claims (escape of water, fire, theft, storm, etc.)
- Reviewing policy coverage and making liability decisions
- Coordinating repairs and settlement negotiations
- Communicating with all parties to progress claims smoothly and fairly
- Keeping accurate records in line with FCA regulations
About You:
- Previous experience in household/property claims handling is essential
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple claims with empathy and attention to detail
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset
