This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about VAT, enjoys working with a wide range of clients, and has a flair for mentoring junior staff while delivering exceptional technical advice.
About the Role
As a Senior VAT Consultant, you will play a key role in managing complex VAT matters across various sectors including Healthcare, Construction, Charities, Education, Import & Export, and Family Offices. You’ll also take responsibility for overseeing compliance processes, developing internal systems, and contributing to business development.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee VAT-related processes to ensure compliance and efficiency
- Prioritise work effectively to meet internal and client deadlines
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and stakeholders
- Mentor and support junior team members in their professional development
- Review work prepared by junior staff to maintain high quality standards
- Assist in developing templates and processes to streamline operations
- Produce VAT audit reports and risk assessments for clients
- Contribute to marketing and thought leadership efforts, including article writing and event presentations
Who they are looking For
- ATT qualified with solid experience in VAT advisory and compliance
- Confident communicator, both written and verbal
- Strong leadership skills and a genuine interest in mentoring others
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
- Commercially aware with an ability to build and develop client relationships
- Must hold a full UK driving licence (due to rural office location)
