Overview

An exceptional and modern Chartered Accountants is on the lookout for a NEW Trainee Accountant to join their audit team in Brighton. This position will support the audit team on a wide range of client engagements while studying towards ACA or AAT. You’ll gain hands-on experience and be mentored by experienced professionals in a collaborative and supportive environment.

This is a full-time role with a hybrid working structure.

Salary depends on experience/qualifications. Higher salaries can be discussed .

Duties

• Assist with the completion of assigned audit engagements within the office and at client premises
• Report to Audit Seniors or Managers depending on the engagement
• Communicate identified issues with Audit Senior or Manager to ensure timely resolution
• Conduct audit procedures as outlined in the audit plan
• Identify and communicate issues raised, offering recommended solutions relevant to business and risk
• Complete audit programs and perform testing procedures relevant to risk and test objectives
• Obtain and review evidence ensuring audit conclusions are well documented
• Ensure adherence to all applicable department procedures and professional standards
• Focus on personal professional growth in line with standard audit career progression
• Perform other related ad hoc duties as assigned
• Provide support and research on policies and procedures in line with legal requirements

What we're looking for

A successful candidate for this role will be able to demonstrate strong motivation to build a career in audit, ideally with some experience in UK practice and live within a 1hr commute of Brighton.
