Assistant Office Manager, West Malling - £32,000 - £35,000 + Benefits

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established contractor based in West Malling, delivering projects across London and the South East. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an organised, proactive and detail-focused Assistant Office Manager to join their team.

This is a varied role supporting the Office Manager, Finance Director and wider team, offering excellent long-term development for someone with strong administrative and IT skills.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting the Office Manager with the day-to-day running of the office
  • Maintaining and updating IT systems, Microsoft Office, OneDrive and contract portals
  • Liaising with external IT consultants and supporting office/site teams
  • Managing company phones, laptops and MiFi units
  • Assisting with Cyber Essentials work
  • Updating the time management system and adding new staff/projects
  • Answering calls, handling enquiries and general office administration
  • Organising site set-ups, ordering materials and completing data entry
  • Setting up workstations, induction packs and equipment for new starters
  • Supporting the Estimator with chasing quotes
  • Assisting Directors and team members as required
  • Helping to maintain ISO systems and attending audits
  • Managing motor fleet administration

What they’re looking for

  • Strong IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, OneDrive)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and work on your own initiative
  • Positive, enthusiastic and flexible approach
  • Experience in office administration/coordination
  • Knowledge of Affinity software is helpful but not essential

Due to location, you will need to be a driver with your own vehicle
