Overview
An exciting opportunity has just come up within a highly regarded law firm in Tunbridge Wells for a commercially minded Corporate Finance Analyst who enjoys getting close to the numbers and translating them to easy-to-understand words!
This role is weighted towards Financial Performance & Analysis (FP&A), with a strong emphasis on departmental business partnering, commercial insight and stakeholder engagement across the firm.
You’ll be working closely with senior stakeholders, supporting departments to understand performance, improve decision‑making and drive better outcomes through meaningful financial analysis.
Salary is dependent on experience/qualifications. Higher salaries can be discussed.
Duties
- Monitor WIP and support timely billing across practice groups
- Analyse aged WIP, billing pipelines and identify matters at risk of write-downs
- Support improvements in lock-up, debtor days and overall working capital
- Partner with departments to review billing, utilisation and profitability
- Prepare revenue and profitability reports by department and fee earner
- Identify trends in fee income, realisation and cost changes
- Provide financial insight to partners and fee earners during meetings
- Assist with revenue forecasting, budgeting and monthly performance tracking
- Support monthly billing and cash collection forecasting
- Provide financial modelling for pricing, large matters and new proposals
- Contribute financial analysis for tenders and commercial decision-making
What we are looking for
A successful candidate will ideally have strong experience within revenue management and FP&A, live within a 45 minute commute and exposure within a Law firm or legal services would be beneficial but not necessary.
