Overview
A highly respected and long-established Chartered Accountancy firm in Sevenoaks is looking to appoint a new senior member of the tax department. With a strong reputation and a broad client base, this firm offers excellent long-term stability, exposure and career development.
You will work alongside experienced Tax Managers and Partners, handling a varied portfolio of personal tax clients, with involvement across compliance, advisory and planning work as your experience develops.
This role is Monday - Friday with hybrid working allowed.
Salary is dependent on experience and qualifications. Higher salaries can be discussed .
Duties
- Preparing personal tax returns and Making Tax Digital (MTD) submissions.
- Working on a portfolio of personal tax clients and acting as a day-to-day point of contact.
- Preparing and submitting P11Ds, including benefits-in-kind calculations and employer Class 1A NICs.
- Producing accurate income tax and capital gains tax computations.
- Supporting advisory assignments including inheritance tax, capital gains and non-resident matters.
- Reviewing work prepared by junior team members and providing guidance where appropriate.
- Liaising directly with clients to resolve queries and obtain information.
- Preparing and responding to HMRC correspondence, enquiries and disclosures.
- Ensuring compliance with UK tax legislation, HMRC deadlines and internal procedures.
- Using tax compliance software and maintaining accurate client records.
What we're looking for
A successful candidate for this position will have minimum 2+ years experience within Personal Tax and ideally be qualified in a recognised qualification (ACA/ACCA or ATT/CTA). You must live within a 45 minute commute of the office.
