Overview

A highly respected and forward-thinking independent accountancy firm is seeking a NEW Corporate Tax Manager to join its ever growing team in Brighton.

This is an outstanding opportunity to work alongside experienced tax specialists on a broad range of technically challenging and commercially rewarding assignments. Supporting ambitious owner-managed businesses, entrepreneurial companies and high-growth organisations, you'll play a key role in delivering first-class advisory services whilst helping shape the future direction of a growing specialist team.

The successful candidate will work closely with Directors and wider advisory teams, building trusted client relationships and providing practical, commercially focused tax solutions across a diverse portfolio.

This role offers great hybrid and flexible working arrangements as well as a fantastic benefits package too.

Salary is dependent on experience/qualifications. Higher salaries can be discussed.

Duties

• Advise on business acquisitions and disposals
• Support mergers, demergers and corporate reorganisations
• Provide guidance on share buybacks and purchase of own shares transactions
• Advise on share-for-share exchanges
• Deliver specialist advice relating to EMI and other tax-advantaged share schemes
• Support clients with EIS and SEIS planning opportunities
• Undertake and review tax valuations
• Advise on R&D Tax Reliefs and Creative Industries Reliefs, including Video Games Expenditure Credit
• Provide guidance on Capital Allowances claims
• Support clients with matters involving intangible assets
• Advise on corporate restructuring projects
• Assist businesses with tax-efficient profit extraction strategies
• Collaborate closely with Private Client specialists on shareholder and owner tax matters
• Mentor and support junior team members
• Contribute towards the ongoing development and enhancement of specialist tax services
• Maintain strong client relationships and act as a trusted adviser
• Identify opportunities to add value and support business growth initiatives

What we're looking for

A successful candidate for this role will be ACA, ACCA, ATT or CTA qualified with at least five years' experience in corporate tax advisory work. You must live within a 45minute radius of Brighton.
