Domestic Heating Surveyor

Are you an experienced Domestic Heating Surveyor looking for a role where your technical expertise really matters?

We’re recruiting for an established heating installation company working across the South East, delivering Air Source Heat Pump, gas boiler and central heating installations for homeowners, housing associations and local authorities.

This is a fabulous opportunity to join an experienced surveying team in a role where you’ll be the first technical point of contact on each job , shaping the design and specification before installation begins.

You’ll have real ownership of your surveys, designs and customer interactions, helping ensure every job is set up properly from the start.

What you’ll be doing

• Carrying out pre-installation surveys in domestic properties
• Assessing existing heating, hot water, pipework, flues, gas and electrical supplies
• Producing room-by-room heat loss calculations
• Designing Air Source Heat Pump systems
• Designing gas boiler and central heating systems
• Sizing heat pumps, radiators, emitters and cylinders
• Producing CAD drawings, schematics and survey reports
• Identifying remedial works required before installation
• Explaining proposed works clearly to homeowners, residents and clients
• Ensuring designs comply with Building Regulations, Gas Safe requirements and manufacturer guidance
• Working closely with installation managers, contract managers and the office team to ensure a smooth handover

About you

We’re looking for someone with a strong technical background in domestic heating and previous surveying experience.

You’ll ideally have:

• Experience surveying for gas boiler and/or Air Source Heat Pump installations
• Strong knowledge of domestic heating systems
• Good IT skills and confidence learning heat loss and CAD software
• A professional and approachable manner with customers
• Strong organisation and diary management skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• A full UK driving licence

Desirable experience

• Level 3 Air Source Heat Pump installation or design qualification
• Experience producing MCS-compliant heat loss calculations and heat pump designs
• Experience working on housing association or local authority contracts
• Enhanced DBS, or willingness to obtain one
