Overview

Unlike many trainee opportunities where you'll be confined to basic data entry and administration, this position has been designed to provide genuine exposure to client work from an early stage. Joining a well-established and growing Accountancy Practice in Uxbridge, you'll work alongside experienced accountants, gain hands-on experience across multiple service lines and build the foundations for a long-term career within the profession.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and collaborative team where you'll receive comprehensive training, hands-on experience and exposure to a wide variety of clients across different industries. You'll gain valuable practical experience whilst working towards a professional qualification and building a long-term career within Accountancy Practice.

This role is Monday-Friday with professional study support available.

Salary is dependent on experience and current level of study.

Duties

• Assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Supporting the preparation of VAT returns and management accounts
• Assisting with bookkeeping duties and maintaining accurate financial records
• Reconciling bank accounts and balance sheet accounts
• Processing financial information received from clients
• Supporting the preparation of corporation tax and personal tax returns
• Communicating professionally with clients to obtain documentation and information
• Learning and developing knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations and compliance requirements
• Working with cloud-based accounting software including Xero, QuickBooks and Sage
• Supporting senior members of the team on a wide variety of client assignments

What we're looking for

A successful candidate for this role will be able to demonstrate a genuine desire to build a career within Accountancy Practice. You must live within a 30 minute commute of Uxbridge.
